On a Saturday our boat started running really rough so we pulled into Boaters Grill where it broke down. Ryan answered right away and gave us a few things to troubleshoot to see if we could fix ourselves. We could not get it up and running on our own but he correctly diagnosed problem over phone and because he was finishing another job gave us an accurate ETA and was on site within 90 minutes, including picking up the supplies he needed to get us back to boat ramp. 2 hours later we were up and running. He cleaned / rebuilt carburetor. Found sediment in fuel supply, bypassed fuel system and had the boat running good as new with a mobile tank which he let us use to get it back to ramp. He then told us everything that needed to be fixed regarding fuel supply when we bring it in for service. I can't say enough. He was on time, honest and fair with his price. 100% recommend this service.

I found Ryan and the services of Certified Marine Outboard on the internet which often can be hit or miss. My call was definitely a hit!! My initial call regarding inconsistent motor firing was promptly answered by Ryan.
I had Certified Marine Outboard perform a full PM service to reset the maintenance schedule (given the boat is used). Ryan picked up all parts needed for the service. Ryan encouraged me to watch, ask questions and learn about my boat. He is very knowledgeable, patient, methodical and efficient when diagnosing and servicing. Once servicing was complete, Ryan started the motor and found the issue was not resolved by the PM service. He traced the issue to a check valve on top the fuel tank. The part was ordered and the issue was resolved.
The services of Certified Marine Outboard were completed with professionalism, transparency and at a fair cost. I highly recommend Ryan and Certified Marine Outboard.

Recruited Ryan to do a mechanical, electrical and structural survey of a 2022 outboard cruiser. Can’t fault how he works, he identified all problems from the start, photographed and explained them clearly, cut short the survey as the boat was not in a condition to sea trial (saving me money), and provided information on the estimated costs based on his extensive experience to rectify the issues seen. Can’t recommend enough - fair pricing, excellent at representing the buyer, great communication, and an honest guy!
